My name is Heather, and I'm a Clipaholic... (& an Important Book)

Can't you just picture a cadre of teacher-bloggers in a church basement, faces wan, admitting to their addiction?  I would be there.  For certain.  When I saw this Clipart Crazies linky over at Primary Polkadots, I just had to join in. Don't judge.

Here are my clipart faves:
Lest you think I'm completely vapid, I have a professional book recommendation to make.  I'm currently reading Pathways to the Common Core by Lucy Calkins, Mary Ehernworth and Christopher Lehman.  I've been dying to read it, and we are now reading it as a faculty book club:
The district I work in is an affiliate district of the TC Reading and Writing Project, so I'm rather excited to have a CCSS resource coming directly from their staff developers, particularly Chistopher Lehman.  I'm a little bit of a stalker:
Today I will attempt to correct the mile high mountain of papers and assessments (that may have caused me to throw out my back as I tried to haul it into my car). I will then shuttle my children around and about, after which I'm going to try to find some time to keep reading this. You need it, too.  That is, if you are grappling with the CCSS and are trying to save your soul by not falling down the rabbit hole of it just being about the test. I'll probably post a bit about my thoughts as I read. If any of you are also reading it (or have read it already), I'd love to hear your thoughts as well.

Phew--I went from clipart to serious business in one fell swoop, didn't I?!
