Freebie Friday: Winter Word Search

In the midst of mid-year assessments and ramping up for state testing, a little bit of mindless fun is sometimes called for.  I've always liked word searches, and my students also seem to enjoy them when I spring one on them as an early-finisher treat, homework, etc. I know that they are considered a bit 1975 in some circles, but as a child of the 70s, I'm a-ok with that. When my friend Julie whipped up a winter owl clip art freebie for her TPT shop this week, it was too cute to pass up using for this purpose asap:
I created this little winter word search for your students' enjoyment. There are both color and black & white versions, and you can download the file by clicking on the pic below:
