December Currently

It is absolutely freezing out, but I'm cozy by the fire with my pretty Christmas tree and my family here.  It's a new month, which means a new Currently, courtesy of Farley at Oh Boy, Fourth Grade:
Here's my version for December:
My goodness, how I want a new laptop.  The Macbook I have is old as these things go, and I've come to require more memory and bits and bytes than I have in the past.  I've already had my touchpad repaired once in the past few months, and the Apple Genius said I might want to start thinking about what's next.  Now, I realize that this may or may not be true, but the seed was planted, and now I can't look at this laptop the same way anymore.  What a 3rd world problem to have, right? It's embarrassing. So I'm going to settle for asking for an external hard drive for Christmas, to back this baby up in case she dies on me.

As for my random act of kindness, I'm planning my Starbucks good deed for this afternoon.  I did this once, and when I went back the next day, the Sbux employee I normally see in the morning told me that the guy was so surprised and happy, that he did the same, and so on.  Paying it forward.  I hope that these people went on with their day in a good mood, spreading more kindness as they went. Coffee makes people happy :) Of course, we have other holiday giving in the works to help those in need, but this is my random act---put a little unexpected kindness in someone's path, and you never know what it  will become.

So go on and link up, and don't forget the Rule of Three: head on over to the 2 blogs before yours to comment, then come on back to the one after yours and do the same.  It's a nice way to check out other blogs you may not have already known about.

Happy Sunday!

  1. Great idea with the Starbucks Pay It Forward thing. I might have to try that sometime soon!

My toddler last year got a Charlie Brown Song book - the one where you press a button and it plays a song. He wore out the batteries playing it over and over again!

  4. OH MY WORD...I {LOVE} the MacBook Pro. I was fortunate enough to be given a "school" laptop and now I'm DYING to have one that I can call "my own!" They are so wonderful!

Loving your super cute blog! Wishing it was cold here. It's a "cool" 78 today in sunny FL. BLAH!
